Deliver Up! Complete surrender

Surrendering to anything can be quite a challenge.

What do you think of when you hear the word surrender? Give in, give away, back down, quit, succumb, failure? None of these words feel empowering do they, yet surrender is a very powerful word.

Let me offer you another way to look at this word. How about awareness, acceptance, willful, power, freedom, intentional, liberating, courage, strength…..

When we surrender, we are deliberately letting go of an attachment to a particular outcome. We are consciously opening ourselves up to grace, peace, and a gut knowing that the universe, your creator, God, is in full and complete control.

How do I know if I’ve really surrendered?

Do this simple self-check; think about something you have been holding on to. Something you know no longer serves you. How do you honestly feel when you think about it. Do you still feel salty? Do you feel the emotion of it like sad, confused, anxious?

Feeling any of those things could be a sign that you're still attached to it. That you haven't fully surrendered it yet!

On the other hand, if you feel peace, able to think or speak about it with pure love and genuine forgiveness, that’s when you know you have surrendered! Only you know what that peace feels like for you. Don’t compare it to anyones elses peace! Know it for yourself! You should feel pretty darn good about yourself! Empowered, strong, and knowing!

If you're not there yet, be patient with yourself. Give yourself permission to feel how and what you feel. Pray, asking the Holy Spirit for help because this is not something you can do on your own. Divine assistance is needed!

Remember; surrender is stepping out of all limitations and stepping into peace and power! Now, who wouldn't want some of that in their life!

Learn to bow out gracefully!

Deliver up!

I love y’all for real!

So true sis! That word "control" is a big obstacle for many of us because we "think" we're the ones running things! It's quite egotistical when you look at it from a spiritual perspective. But thank God, he helps us see who's really in control! Thank you so much for your response and support!🥰🙏🏾

Surrender is a hard concept. Not being in “control”, when we aren’t actually God is in control.
